1. Content can be original or republished
Depending on where your work has been published, we are happy to republish your work here on iamarockstar.me as long as you have the rights to republish your article. We will always link back to the original article. Of course we are always looking for new work and would love to also share with our readers original content.
2. Word count.
The preferred length of a post is between 700 and 1500 words, in a Word/ Pages document, and if you need to include links, please make them relevant to the article itself. Do not simply post a link in order to point our readers to your site.
If you’re going to offer tips, include a short introductory paragraph at the top of your post explaining why you’re offering this advice. Are you an expert on the topic? Did you struggle to understand the issue and want to share your knowledge?
If you need to use links to any scientific proof, research, that can backup or even enhance your credibility as an author, feel free to use them. But please note that we reserve the right to use this information only if suited.
3.Use your own unique tone
A beautiful and inspiring post will sound like a real person wrote it, and it needs to have a distinctive voice, meaning that the message you are sending out should be written in the same manner you would speak to a good friend of yours, a loved one. You could use that similar conversational tone when you write your post.
Chose a topic that resonates with the targeted audience of the I AM A ROCKSTAR’s blog to help you in your creation process.
**If you are a rockstar topics may include: Personal growth, Stories of Resilience, Healing, Coping tools, Life skills, friendships, what has worked for you in your healing journey!
**If you are a health care professional and would like to share about a modality for the treatment of trauma and well being such as mental health, yoga, energy healing, etc. please share with us! We are looking for articles focused on hope and healing!
4. Your edits before sending.
Keep in mind that before submitting a blog post, you need to make sure that the text is grammatically correct and typo-free. By doing so you will also increase your article’s chance of standing out and being published.
5. Our own editing.
Your submissions will be reviewed in order to make sure that you have followed the mentioned guidelines. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided in your article and the third party materials it may contain.
Simply put, you need to make sure you have all the necessary permissions obtained from the copyright holder in case the article contains copyrighted material, and this applies to photos, audio, video, or other content that is part of your submission.
The articles might sometimes be edited in order to offer a more engaging experience to our readers. When that happens, we’ll make sure to inform you about it so you can review the piece in its final form.
Articles promoting various products or businesses will be rejected. We reserve the right to edit your submission as outlined above and only publish the type of posts that we find suitable for our readers.
As we’re trying to show our readers your work as a writer, keep in mind that we can’t share links to websites that we feel aren’t in alignment with the content shared on the I AM A ROCKSTAR blog. If your links lead to websites the sell products, pages promoting businesses, or other featured work, we reserve the right not to share these links with our readers.
We also reserve the right to edit and change the information in your article and bio, if necessary. Once your article is published on our blog, it can not be taken down due to Google Publishing Policy that every online publisher needs to respect.
6. Include your bio
Please remember to include a short biography (approximately 3-4 sentences long). It is also recommended to include in your bio links to YOUR OWN PERSONAL website/ blog (if they are relevant to the content we share on the blog), YOUR OWN PERSONAL social media platforms, etc. This way, our readers will know more about you and they will have a way of getting in contact with you if needed.
7. Spread the word
Once your article has been published, we encourage you to share and promote it via Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn, StumbleUpon, or others social media platforms you might have access to. We also know that our readers want to hear from the authors themselves, so whenever you have the chance, feel free to respond to the comments of your post.
Submit your article for publication.
Email us your story at LINDY (at) LINDYARIFF.COM using the submissions tag in the subject line of your email and we will respond within 21 days. If you haven’t heard from us within 3-4 weeks after sending your submission, it means that your post it wasn’t a fit for I AM A ROCKSTAR. Feel free to submit a different post after 21 days.
